At CrossFit Queen Anne we offer 1-on-1 personal training, small group training and large group classes. The main focus of CFQA is to simultaneously improve your overall fitness while maximizing fun. We cultivate a supportive environment that will enable you to reach any and all fitness goals while being surrounded by like-minded, motivated, positive individuals. Egos and attitudes are neither allowed, nor tolerated. One of the best parts about being involved with CrossFit is the sense of community. CFQA strives to epitomize that sense of community and cultivate an atmosphere that will enable you to excel both inside the gym and out in the real world.
In order to join either the small group training or large group classes you will be required to complete our Elements Classes. The Elements Classes consist of 2 personal training sessions. Each session is one hour long. During these sessions you will learn the 9 foundational movements of CrossFit; the squat, front squat, overhead squat, press, push press, push jerk, dead lift, sumo dead lift high pull, and the medicine ball clean. Other topics and movements will be addressed, but those 9 will be the primary focus of the sessions.
The Elements Classes are critical to your success at CrossFit Queen Anne. These sessions will help ensure that you understand the basic mechanics of the movements necessary to join a group class. If the client desires to continue with personal training sessions instead of joining a class, that is an option as well.
The group classes are roughly an hour in duration. They will begin with a series of movements for a warm-up, then lead to an overview of the particular moves for the work out of the day. The work out of the day (WOD) will then be performed. The remaining time is usually spent on cooling down, stretching, and working on skills and drills the athlete needs to focus on for improvement.
